It's Not Happening to You—It's Happening from You

Hello Reader,

What if your organization isn't a set of problems to solve? What if it is a collective consciousness to recognize?

This visualization captures a fundamental shift in how we understand leadership.

At its core lies a truth: every challenge, success, or dynamic in an organization isn't happening TO us. It's happening FROM us.

A dream seems to happen to us until we become lucid. Then, we recognize we are its creators.

Leadership transforms when we realize our reality comes from within.

This isn't abstract philosophy—it's practical wisdom:

- When team conflicts occur, look first at the consciousness that is creating them.
- When innovation seems blocked, examine the awareness it's emerging from.
- When culture needs transformation, start with the consciousness projecting it.

At LeaderONE.org, we guide leaders to this truth: your organization reflects the shared thoughts of its people.

Once you understand this, leadership shifts. It's less about managing external challenges.

It's more about awakening to your role as a conscious creator.

What patterns in your organization might be inviting you to look within?

I've included in the P. S. below an easy and practical way to enact this change in leadership perspective today.

P. S. For the next challenging situation you encounter today, try this simple practice. Before responding to the situation, pause and ask:

"If this challenge isn't happening to me but from me, what might it be showing me about my own consciousness or awareness?"

For example:

If a team member is resistant, don't think, "Why are they difficult?" Instead, ask, "What in my mind might be causing this resistance?""

Don't worry about getting it right. Just notice what shifts when you make this change in perspective.

The Power of Awareness Is the Ultimate Response to Control Hello Reader, True power doesn't come when we try to control our circumstances. It comes when we master our internal response to them. The Trump-Musk bullet point mandate isn't a workplace crisis. Instead, it shows our shared addiction to judgment and our collective unconsciousness. When someone asks us to justify our existence in bullet points, we can rise above our initial reactions. This isn't about efficiency but about...

Seeing with New Eyes When we create space for perception to shift, true leadership emerges not as something we do, but as something that flows through us. Hello Reader, I learned something interesting this past year. I learned to see with new eyes. The kind of eyes Joseph Jaworski wrote about in Synchronicity. For years I didn't understand what he meant. Then it happened to me. If you've read my posts and comments on LinkedIn lately, you know I've been looking differently at the problems...

The Insane Power of Awareness Hello Reader, What if leadership doesn't start with thinking, but with awareness? The reality distortion field of true leadership isn't about better thinking and better skills. It's about accessing the space beyond our thinking. This is awareness. Most leaders aren't actually leading. They're just thinking about leading, which is why they're mediocre. The most transformative leaders throughout history didn't just think differently. They operated from a different...
